International Relations

International Relations (IR) is the field of study and practice that focuses on the interactions among sovereign states, as well as the relationships between countries and various non-state actors, including international organizations, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), multinational corporations, and other entities. It encompasses the analysis of political, economic, social, and cultural interactions on a global scale, examining how these relationships influence global peace, security, and cooperation.

IR explores a variety of issues such as diplomacy, conflict resolution, international law, human rights, global governance, trade, and environmental concerns. The discipline investigates the motivations behind state actions, power dynamics, alliances, and the impact of globalization on the political and social structures of different nations. Through various theoretical frameworks such as realism, liberalism, constructivism, and others, International Relations seeks to understand the complexities of global affairs and provide insights into the mechanisms that govern interstate and transnational interactions.
