Energy

Energy is defined as the ability or capacity to do work or produce change. It exists in various forms, including kinetic (motion), potential (stored), thermal (heat), chemical, electrical, nuclear, and more. Energy can be transferred between systems and converted from one form to another but cannot be created or destroyed, a principle known as the conservation of energy. In physical systems, energy influences the movement and behavior of matter and is a fundamental concept in disciplines such as physics, chemistry, and engineering. It plays a critical role in powering processes and systems in nature and technology, from simple mechanical devices to complex biological organisms and ecosystems.
